Court documents state that the Nebraska Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force got a CyberTipline report from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) about the upload of child porn on an online file sharing service on May 5.
Officials said the CyberTipline reports showed that the user of a specific internet protocol (IP) address uploaded 14 image and video files of child porn between March 19, 2022, and March 23, 2022. Investigators got another CyberTipline report on Aug. 25, 2022, noting the upload of four image and video files of child porn on June 29, 2022. Investigators determined that the same suspect IP went back to Schenkelberg’s residential address in Sarpy County.
According to authorities, investigators used a search warrant at Schenkelberg’s home on Nov. 3, 2022. They took multiple of Schenkelberg’s electronic devices for forensic examination. Apple Inc. gave data from Schenkelberg’s Apple iCloud account on Dec. 26, 2022. Investigators examined the data and the devices from Schenkelberg’s residence. They found more images of child porn, some involving toddlers. Schenkelberg’s cache of child porn had over 600 images.
This case was investigated by the Nebraska State Patrol’s ICAC Task Force.
