Eric Wayne Clark, age 65, passed away on Sunday, November 5, 2023, at Immanuel Hospital Omaha, NE, after a long battle with health issues.

Eric Wayne Clark, age 65, passed away on Sunday, November 5, 2023, at Immanuel Hospital Omaha, NE, after a long battle with health issues.
Eric was born May 13, 1958, in Hamburg, IA, to Joan Louise (Spetter) Clark and Duane Ericsson Clark. The Clark family moved to Otoe, NE, in 1959. Eric attended Otoe Elementary and graduated in 1976 from Syracuse-Dunbar-Avoca Public Schools. Eric joined the U.S. Army, May 20, 1976-May 21, 1979 where he was stationed at Fort Hood, TX. Eric re-enlisted in 1983 where he was an E4 Specialist who worked on helicopters. Eric was a long time resident of Cass and Otoe counties. After serving his country, he became a heavy equipment operator. He was very proud of his patriotism. For several years, he was in Legion Honor Guard. Eric also loved to fish and collect coins.
He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law Erica Lee and Jesse Holloway of Littleton, CO; grandchildren, Starlynn, Lexis, and James Holloway also of Littleton, CO; sisters Brenda Carneal (John), Saint Joseph, MO, Deb DeJong (Andy) Milford, NE, Pamela Clark of KS; brothers John Clark (Linda), Syracuse, NE, Danny Clark, TX, Stephen Clark, AR, and Terry Clark of Eskridge, KS; many nieces and nephews; good friends Bert and Mary Crook, Tim and Monica Wilkinson and a host of other friends.
Eric was preceded in death by his parents and stepfather Alton J (Bud) Bruns.
Eric had elected to donate his body to science, his inurnment will be a later date.
A Celebration of Life will be Sunday, November 19, in Otoe, NE, at the Otoe Spur bar from 1pm - 3pm.
