AUBURN – A narcotics investigation by the Nemaha County Sheriff’s Office has led to charges alleging distribution of methamphetamine from the Auburn Motel and possession at Westbury Heights Apartments.

The sheriff’s office obtained a search warrant for the motel after telling a district judge that the manager, who lives in a house attached to the motel office, is suspected of illegal drug activity.

An affidavit says the sheriff’s office responded to a morning domestic assault  on M Street and sought the search warrant based on information about methamphetamine involving several people known to stay at or visit the motel.

An arrest affidavit says Julius Judy, 60, of Westbury Heights and Shawn Judy, 53, were at the motel residence.

In distribution charges naming Shawn Judy, prosecutors allege that 7.4 grams of methamphetamine were found at the motel manager’s residence on Oct. 22.

Her former husband Julius Judy is charged with possession after 4 grams were found at the Westbury Heights Apartment.

In other court action, Matthew Johnson, 42, of Johnson is suspected of possession of  firearm while committing a felony and possession of a controlled substance.

A Nemaha County sheriff’s deputy told the court that he stopped a Silverado pickup on J Street in Auburn on Oct. 24 and found methamphetamine and an unloaded .22 revolver.

Travis Batley, 19, of Auburn is charged in Nemaha County with possession of methamphetamine on Oct. 5.
