NEBRASKA CITY - Syracuse won its C1 subdistrict final and will advance to the state tournament for the school's 15th time.

Syracuse defeated Douglas County West in four sets. Syracuse won the first set, but Douglas County West tied it up in set 2. The Rockets won the next two sets 25 to 20 and 25 to 23.

Delainey Cast had 22 kills and Kadyn Sisco had 12 kills against the Falcons. Rylee Seelfhoff had 30 digs and 8 assists per set.

Syracuse will play at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 1, at Pinnacle Bank Arena. MaxPreps rates Syracuse at ninth with a 27-7 record. Palmyra is 22nd.

Top-rated Kearney Catholic defeated West Point-Beemer in three sets for a 26-3 record.

Also advancing in C1 are 2nd-ranked Minden, third-ranked Gothenburg, fourth-ranked Grand Island Central Catholic  fifth-ranked Malcolm, and sixth-ranked Pierce.

Yutan defeated Johnson County Central in four sets.

In D1

Burwell defeated Johnson-Brock 25, 23, 2j-18 and 25-12.

In D2

Wallace defeated Falls City Sacred Heart 25-20, 25-22 and 32-30

Shelton defeated HTRS in four sets. HTRS won the first but Shelton took the next three.
