Congressman Flood calls for American support as Israel fights back against Hamas
Flood says Americans stand with the Jewish people at home and abroad
PLATTSMOUTH - Nebraska Congressman Mike Flood is calling on the U.S. to show support for Israel to the ‘max extent’ and called Hamas’ actions as a crime against the world.
Flood: “Hamas’ attacks on Israel were calculated, unprovoked and most of all evil. They are taking the lives of both Israelis and Americans. They came at a time when Israel has been making historic efforts to bring peace to the Middle East.”
He said America stands with the Jewish people and must step up as Israel fights back.
Flood: “House Republicans collectively stand with our ally Israel and we fully support Israel’s right to defend itself from all acts of violence. We will not only support Israel, but we will work to shape American foreign policy to promote peace in the region.”
Flood: “President Biden should have never released the $6 billion to Iran, one of the state-sponsors of terrorism who made the attack by Hamas possible. The President needs to take whatever steps possible to stop that money from getting into the hands of Iranian dictators.”
Iran’s Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has denied involvement but says Iran kisses the foreheads and arms of the resourceful and intelligent designers of the attack. The Washington Post reports that plans for the attack began a year ago with the help of infusions of cash from Iran. The report says Hamas is not an Iranian proxy like Hezbollah to Israel’s north, but has received technical help from Iran for rockets and drones with advanced guidance systems.
