JOHNSON - Johnson-Brock and Falls City Sacred Heart battled it out on the turf Friday night in a game involving two highly respected programs.

The Irish put the first points on the board with a rushing touchdown on their first possession by Joe Simon. The Eagles bounced right back with a touchdown of their own, as quarterback, Sloan Pelican, threw a 16-yard pass to Junior Casen Dalinghaus in the endzone. The Eagles were successful on the 2-pt conversion making the score 8-6.

The Eagles and the Irish went back and forth for most of the first quarter, exchanging first downs and touchdowns.

The Eagles started to stretch out their lead in the second quarter as they found success in their running game. JB relied heavily on Sophomore, Hayden Gravatt, to find the holes and to bounce off the defenders to gain additional yardage. JB took a 32-14 lead going into halftime.

In the second half, the Eagles continued to utilize the run game, with an occasional pass to keep FCSH's defense off balance.  The Eagles' offense proved to be too much for the Irish. JB got the victory over FCSH 64-20.

Casen Dalinghaus spurred the Eagles defense with 9 total tackles and one interception.  Gravatt pitched in with 7 tackles as well.

In addition, Zach Hawley and Lleyton Behrends both had quarterback sacks for losses. JB Senior, Isaac Brook, blocked a punt, which was recovered in the endzone by Pelican for an Eagle touchdown.

A highlight for the Irish was when their defense came up with an interception to stop an Eagle drive.

The Eagles will travel to Diller-Odell for their last regular season game before the playoffs. The FCSH Irish will host Nebraska City Lourdes in their final game of the regular season.
