OMAHA, Neb. -- A trailer and over $50,000 in equipment was reportedly stolen in Omaha.

The Douglas County Sheriff's Office said officers were sent to the area of 209 St. and Hartman Ave. on Tuesday for a report of a stolen trailer.

Officers said a 20' enclosed trailer with landscaping equipment inside was taken during the night. Over $50,000 of equipment was reportedly inside the trailer and a 2021 Bobcat MT 100 skid loader was taken as well.

According to authorities, they found the trailer in the area of 120th St. and Rose Lane later that day but the equipment was not inside.

Police said they looked at video of the area that showed a newer truck, believed to be 2022-2024 Toyota Tundra, pulling the trailer. In the video, two men reportedly got out of the truck and unhitched the trailer before driving away.

The investigation is ongoing and anyone with information can contact DCSO.
