Public art project set Sunday
Self Expressions organizes sidewalk art

NEBRASKA CITY – A sidewalk art contest Friday is tuning up local creativity for a public art project on Sunday at Self Expressions Gallery, 819 Central Ave.
Peru State volleyball represented at the art contest, which runs through 6 p.m. The winner will be announced after the parade.
Volleyball player Mattie Nichols of Auburn was recently honored with the college’s Swenson Award for outstanding character, athletics, service and loyalty to Peru State.
The Bobcats host Graceland University on Saturday and travel to Grand View in Des Moines on Tuesday.
Art in Alley is scheduled from noon to 4 p.m. Sunday at Self Expressions.
Artist Honey Self has drawn the outline of the project and invites creatives of all ages to fill it in as they see best.
