Peru State's Jordan Kempf Named NAIA and Heart Special Teams Player of the Week

PERU, NE - On Monday, September 11, the NAIA, and the Heart of America Athletic Conference announced its Players of the Week. Jordan Kempf (Arlington, Tex.) was named an NAIA Special Teams Player of the Week and Heart Big Game Football Special Teams Player of the Week.
Kempf had two punt returns for touchdowns, each going for 83 yards and one going right into the half. He also had eight receptions for 103 yards and two touchdowns against MidAmerica Nazarene on Saturday night.
Kempf now holds the record for most punt returns for touchdowns in a single game with two. He is the first Peru State Football NAIA National Player of the Week since 2015.
Peru State hits the road to take on No. 7 Benedictine this Saturday, September 16, in Atchison, Kan. Kickoff is set for 1:00 p.m.
