2023 Germanfest Sept. 29 - Oct. 1

SYRACUSE – The  schedule is out for the 2023 Syracuse Germanfest featuring pageantry, ribfest, masskrugstemmen, fest keg tapping, polka music and 14^th annual Viener Dog Races.

Events open Friday Sept. 29, with a two-day sand volleyball tournament and cornhole tourney at 6 p.m. at the Syracuse Sports Complex.

Saturday events at the Otoe County Fairgrounds begin with a pancake feed at 7 a.m. and crowning of Lil’ Miss and Lil’ Meister at 9 a.m.

10 a.m. – ribfest

10:45 – Kinder parade and grand parade

11 a.m. – inflatable games

Noon – Masskrugstemmen registration

1 p.m. – Little Tuggers tractor pull

2 p.m. – Tapping of fest keg

2 pm. – Viener dog racing

2:30 p.m. – Hammerschlagen

3 p.m. – Magician Jeff Quinn

4 p.m. – Best dressed German contest

6 p.m. – Ribfest meal

 

Sunday, Oct 1

10 a.m. Car show on Fifth Street

10:15 a.m. community church service at Luther Memorial

Noon – Burgermeister open golf tourney at Syracuse Country Club
