Man arrested in Omaha following accident with tree

OMAHA, Neb. -- Omaha Police say they arrested a man after he fled from an accident with a tree. 

The Omaha Police Department said that around 12:12 p.m., a vehicle hit a tree on the north side of the road. 

The driver, a 39-year-old man, ran from the scene and was apprehended by officers, police said. 

Police said they man was suspected to be under the influence. 

OPD said that he was involved in a hit and run accident earlier at 103rd and Fort.
