Walmart intruders charged with over 28 grams of methamphetamine
NEBRASKA CITY – A Nebraska City pair face a mandatory sentence of five years on allegations of possession of methamphetamine on Aug.22.
The Otoe County Attorney’s Office has filed charges alleging over 28 grams of meth was found in the possession of 36-year-old Ashley Lambirth and 45-year-old Araon Lacy.
Asset protection at Walmart called police to the Nebraska City store regarding intruders that had been banned from Walmart. A police officer told the court he recognized Lambirth and her vehicle from a previous contact. The officer requested an open air sniff from the Otoe County sheriff’s K9 Waco.
An arrest affidavit says the deputy found two bags of methamphetamine containing 61 grams. Bond for Lambirth and Lacy was set at $35,000. The affidavit says Lambirth denied possession of illegal drugs.
The charge is a 1C felony which carries a minimum sentence of five years and a maximum of 50.
