OMAHA, Neb. -- A man was arrested for his reported connection to an early August murder in Omaha.

The Omaha Police Department said 33-year-old Kye Moss was arrested on Thursday for the murder of 27-year-old Adrrell Taylor, of Omaha. He was arrested for first degree murder, use of a weapon to commit a felony and possession of a weapon by a prohibited person.

Officers said they arrested Moss in Minneapolis, Minn. and he is currently awaiting extradition to Omaha. Police were assisted by the Minneapolis Police Department and the North Star Fugitive Task Force.

On Aug. 3, OPD reportedly responded to a report of a shooting in the 1700 block of Oakwood Circle around 2:45 a.m.

According to authorities, they found Taylor at the scene and took him to a local hospital where he later died.
