OMAHA, Neb. -- The Douglas County Sheriff's Office said they got reports of forged checks.

The DCSO said they got reports of over $80,000 in forged checks being deposited across multiple accounts held by the National Bank of Omaha.

Officials said during the investigation they identified a suspect named Jared T. Prince.

On Aug. 21, the DCSO said they executed a search warrant at Prince's home in the area of 72nd and Lake Street in Omaha.

While searching the home, deputies said they found forged checks and related electronic equipment, two handguns, about 1.5 pounds of marijuana with digital scales, and other suspected narcotics.

DCSO said that Prince was taken into custody and booked at Douglas County Department of Corrections for forgery over $5,000, possession of marijuana with intent to deliver, possession of a controlled substance, and possession of a firearm during a felony drug violation.
