Sheriff reports Highway 75 accident

MURRAY - Cass County Sheriff Robert Sorenson reports a two-vehicle injury accident Saturday on Highway 75.

A Chevrolet Impala driven by 45-year-old Larry Donnell Smith of Nebraska City rear ended an Infinity G25 driven by 52-year-old Arturo Aguilera of Nebraska City.

Witnesses told investigators that a Dodge pickup in front of Aguilera slammed on his brakes to turn into a horseshoe driveway. The pickup pulled around the driveway and came out behind the accident and was last scene heading north on Highway 75.

Silvia Romero Chavez, 59, was a passenger in the Infinity and was transported to the hospital by Murray Fire and Rescue. Both vehicles were driven away from the scene.
