OMAHA, Neb. -- Omaha Police say they have arrested a man in connection to the homicide of Philipp Kuhn. 

The Omaha Police Department said they arrested 41-year-old Lavell Cutler.

Cutler was booked at Douglas County Corrections for second-degree murder, use of a weapon to commit a felony, possession of a weapon by a prohibited person, and tampering with evidence. 

The OPD Homicide Unit started investigating the death of 46-year-old Philipp Kuhn on Aug. 2 after being called to a man down in a park shortly after 7 a.m.

Kuhn was pronounced dead at the scene, and he had appeared to have been shot to death.
