Former Bobcat signs professional basketball contract

PERU - former Peru State men’s basketball player Lorenzo Anderson has signed a
professional contract with Irbis Almatay in Kazakhstan for the upcoming season.
Anderson was instrumental in Peru State men’s basketball run to the NAIA National Tournament
a season ago. He played in all 33 games starting in 28 for the Bobcats.
Anderson averaged 15.7 points per game shooting 46.6 percent from the field, 33.3 percent from beyond the arc and 72.2 percent from the free throw line.
He grabbed 3.1 rebounds per game, dished out 1.8 assists and had 1.5 steals per game.

opportunity."

professional career.
Anderson: "Last season prepared me pretty well, going through the adversity, through coaching changes, the
team and myself to stick together and working hard on and off the court."
Anderson: "The resiliency to be far away from home, adjust and adapt and do the best that I can on and off
the court."
Anderson was named Second Team All-Conference for his play in the Heart during the 2022-23
season.
