One dead after Saturday night shooting in Omaha

OMAHA, Neb. -- A man is reportedly dead from a gunshot wound in Omaha.

The Omaha Police Department said officers were sent to area of 14th Ave. and Pinkney St. around 9:30 p.m. on Saturday for a reported shooting.

Officers said they found a man with a gunshot wound. The victim was reportedly taken to a nearby hospital and later died there.

The investigation is ongoing and anyone with information can contact OPD, the OPD Homicide Unit, or Omaha Crime Stoppers.
