Fine ordered after Humboldt search

FALLS CITY – Matthew Koeneke, 35, of Rulo was fined $500 and sentenced to 45 days in jail for attempted possession in July of 2022.
Koeneke was arrested after Richardson County sheriff’s deputies served simultaneous search warrants on two Humboldt residences.
An arrest affidavit says Koeneke was sleeping in the basement of the residence at 704 Nemaha St. at the time of the search. Koeneke told investigators he was only at the residence to help the resident there recover from surgery. He denied possession of the methamphetamine that deputies say was located in a basement lounge.
Janeen Moyer, 27, was earlier fined $500 for attempted possession.
Scott Bachman Sr., 50, is set for sentencing on Aug. 8 and Stephanie Bachman, 25, is set for a pre-trial conference on Aug. 22.
