Accident leaves one dead near Omaha, autopsy schedule to confirm identity
OMAHA, Neb. -- Authorities said they are investigating an accident that potentially involved a person who went missing in June.
The Omaha Police Department said that on Tuesday around 11:03, officers were called to an injury accident at the Interstate 680 and 72nd off ramp.
OPD said the investigation showed that a black Toyota Avalon left the off-ramp, hit a tree and then went into a ravine.
Omaha Fire Department Medics confirmed that the driver died.
The vehicle was registered to Tranquilin Sanabria, who had been reported missing to the Carter Lake Iowa Police Department on June 30.
Officials said an autopsy is scheduled for Wednesday to confirm the identity of the driver.
