Falls City woman sentenced to over 3 years in prison

A sentence of 3 1/2 years was given to a Falls City woman for a meth-related conviction.

FALLS CITY, Neb. -- A sentence of 3 1/2 years was given to a Falls City woman for a meth-related conviction.

Acting U.S. Attorney Susan Lehr said 27-year-old Taylor Zimmerling, of Falls City, was sentenced on July 6. She was convicted for conspiracy to distribute 500 grams or more of methamphetamine. Zimmering will serve 42 months in prison with a three-year term of supervised release after.following her conviction There is no parole in the federal system.

According to court documents, Zimmerling and co-defendant Daniel Lock sold meth in and around Falls City from January 2021 to June 2021. Multiple cooperating witnesses told investigators that Zimmerling and Lock, who was also sentenced to 42 months in prison and three years of supervised release, sold distribution quantities of meth to them.

Officials said they used a search warrant at Lock and Zimmerling’s home in Falls City on June 3, 2021. They  found 55 grams of meth, scales, packaging material, cash, and a police scanner. A search of Lock and Zimmerling's cell phones belonging to showed messages about drug delivery, sales, and distribution.

Authorities said Zimmerling admitted that she and Lock had been going to another state to get meth and then they delivered to it others. She admitted that they had just picked up another batch of meth one day before the search warrant was used. A forensic scientist at the Nebraska State Patrol Crime Lab found the drug seizure to contain at least 44 grams of pure meth.

This case was investigated by the Richardson County Sheriff’s Office.
