Public works approves temporary pay

AUBURN – The Auburn Board of Public Works approved temporary pay increases following a closed session on June 21.

Board minutes say the board held a 45-minute closed session to discuss personnel matters.

Following the session the board approved $10,000 to accounting and finance manager Tamara Westhart for additional duties and temporary compensation of $2,000 to water manager Alan Slater and electric operations manager Kevin Kuhlman.

The board earlier held its election for officers and vote 4-0 to leave officers as they are.  Chuck Knipe is chairman, Rich Wilson is vice chairman and Michael Zaruba is secretary. Phil Shaw is acting secretary.
