NEBRASKA CITY -  A truck and semi-trailer were briefly tangled in electrical lines on the 11th Street detour in Nebraska City Friday morning.

As part of the 11th Street improvement project, electrical service along the roadway has been buried. The remaining overhead lines over Third Corso were not connected and will be removed as part of the project.

The driver pushed the lines and steel cables over the truck to get untangled. After getting free, the driver abandoned the local detour and headed toward detour routes at the Fourth Corso intersection.
