Man arrested for reported connection to Omaha homicide
A man was arrested in Omaha for his reported connection to a homicide.
OMAHA, Neb. -- A man was arrested in Omaha for his reported connection to a homicide.
The Omaha Police Department said officers were sent to the 8600 block of F St. around 7:30 a.m. on Thursday for a report of shots fired.
Officers said they found a dead man in a parking lot in front of a business. The victim was reportedly 24-year-old Rodney Hart-Owens.
According to authorities, they later found the suspect in the 600 block of S 19th St and took him into custody.
Police said the suspect was 26-year-old Octavian Sanderson. Sanderson was booked for first-degree murder, two counts of possession of a firearm by a prohibited person, terroristic threats, use of a weapon to commit a felony and tampering with evidence.
