NEBRASKA CITY – Riley Rogman, 30, of Nebraska City was driving her late uncle’s pickup on Steinhart Park Road when she heard something dragging and saw a black line behind her from the side mirror. She pulled over to investigate and saw flames racing along the line and under the truck.

Moments later the truck was burst into flames. Rogman said firefighters told her it appeared the fuel tank dropped from the vehicle and caught fire.

Rogman: “I opened the door and I ran across the street. Someone was  yelling call 911.”

She had been running a few errands in Nebraska City, but had dropped her dog off before making a trip downtown. She was about a mile from home when it happened.”

She said the fuel tank had recently been filled.
