Man arrested in connection to fatal April crash in Omaha
OMAHA, Neb. -- A man was arrested Monday morning for his reported connection to a fatal April crash in Omaha.
The Omaha Police Department said the Metro Fugitive Task Force found Pierre Brayman Monday morning and took him into custody. He was taken in for a car accident that happened on April 26 of this year.
Officers said they were sent to Carter Lake Shore Drive and Cornish Blvd. around 8:10 p.m. on April 26 for a single vehicle personal injury crash.
According to authorities, a 2000 Ford F150 was going north on Carter Lake Shore Drive when it left the roadway and rolled.
Officials said the passenger, 37-year-old Tiffany Brayman, of Omaha, was ejected from the vehicle. She was reportedly taken to a nearby hospital where she later died at.
Police said the driver of the vehicle, Pierre Brayman, had fled from the scene on foot.
OPD said they are investigating speed, alcohol, and lack of seatbelt use as contributing factors and that the investigation is ongoing.
