OMAHA, Neb. -- Douglas County Sherriff's Office said they conducted a traffic stop at I-80 westbound and 96th Street. 

Officials said during the course of the stop, it was observed as suspicious of criminal activity.

Douglas County Sherriff's Office said the suspect gave the sergeant permission to search the trunk of the vehicle. 

Authorities said that when the trunk was opened, there were three bricks of suspected cocaine in the vehicle, a total of 7.89 pounds. 

Officials said the suspect, a 44-year-old, who is believed to be a Columbian National, was then taken to the DC Correctional Center and booked for PWID-controlled substance (cocaine) and failure to affix a drug tax stamp.
