NEBRASKA CITY - Kimmel Harding Nelson Center for the Arts will present Ukrainian artist Olena Mosiyevych and her work that was to be show at the Modern Art Museum in Ukraine until the Russians invaded and her work is now “unaccounted” for.

Her display “Canceled Because of War” combines some surviving pieces and her new work while living in Nebraska.

Mosiyevych is a student of Byzantine sacred art and has displayed her work worldwide and was able to move to the United States before the Russian invasion. Actively supporting Ukraine in the fight against Russian aggression she has used her art to raise funds and engender hope for the future.

Canceled Because of War will be on display at KHN’s gallery until June 16 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

A gallery talk will be hosted on Thursday, May 18, at 5 p.m.
