Nebraska Gov. Jim Pillen announced an updated end date for the statewide burn ban.

LINCOLN, Neb. -- Nebraska Gov. Jim Pillen announced an updated end date for the statewide burn ban.
The new end date of the ban will be 11:59 p.m. on Thursday, April 20.
The burn ban was first put in place on April 13 and was first set to end on April 16 but was extended to April 23. The reason for the ban was to reduce the risk of wildfires and the extension was due to the high winds and dry conditions that continued.
