OMAHA - The National Weather Service has issued a tornado watch for most of River Country in Nebraska and Iowa until 11 p.m. 

The watch includes Burt, Cass, Dodge, Douglas, Gage, Johnson, Lancaster, Nemaha, Otoe, Pawnee, Richardson, Sarpy, Saunders, Thurston and Washington counties in Nebraska. Includes Fremont, Harrison, Mills, Montgomery, Page, Pottawattamie, and Shelby in Iowa.

The storm prediction center in Norman, Okla., forecasts scattered thunderstorms in late afternoon into tonight for the mid-Missouri valley. 

Large hail, severe wind gusts and a few tornadoes are possible.
