Nelson sentenced after drug court terminated
Nebraska City man awaits court hearing on strangulation charge

NEBRASKA CITY - Bailey Nelson, 24, of Nebraska City was sentenced to a year in prison for possession of methamphetamine in February of 2020.
Nelson made a drug court plea in 2020, but the state filed a motion to terminate drug court in May of 2021. The court ruled that the possession of ammunition and a pellet gun was in violation of terms, but offered a "last chance" contract.
Nelson is scheduled for a court hearing April 10 on a strangulation charge in August of 2022.
