ASHLAND, Neb. -- A construction worker in Saunders County suffered a fall Monday afternoon but authorities said it could have been much worse.

According to the Ashland Police Department, a man fell several feet while working on the new Ashland-Greenwood Middle School building.

Police Chief Ryan Brady said authorities suspected a possible broken hip, in addition to back and abdominal pain, but that the worker was ultimately "lucky."

No further word has been provided on the worker's status since being transported to the hospital.
