Jonna M. Hubbard

Jonna Mae Hubbard (Emshoff), 68 of Marysville, KS passed away on March 14th, 2023, in Lincoln. She was born on November 18th, 1954, to Elvin and Maxine Emshoff. Jonna attended Avoca school until the 6th grade and then attended Syracuse school until graduation. She was active in the Avoca 4-H club and played softball for her dad as a catcher, giver her the title of “Jonna Bench”.
Jonna held various jobs including a Chef, Nurses aid and for the last 25 years different positions for the State of Kansas. On September 11, 1999, she married Hub (Ron). Jonna’s many interests were loving her Fur Babies (Pepper, Rusty and Mickey), sewing, arts and crafts and especially cooking. She also loved going on Sister Weekends, which always included casinos.
Jonna will be truly missed.
Jonna is survived by husband Ronald and sisters Sue Crafton (Phillip) Omaha and Polly Frye (Greg) Eagle. 4 nephews, Casey (Stephanie), Mitchell (Megan) and Wesley Frye (Ashley) and Andrew Crafton (Trish). One Niece, Sarah Crafton. 9 great nephews and 2 great nieces.
She was preceded in death by both parents.
Memorial services will be held on Friday, March 17th at 10:00 a.m. at the First Lutheran Church (North Branch) in rural Avoca. The service will be livestreamed on the First Lutheran Avoca Nebraska Youtube’s page. Burial will be at the Avoca cemetery.
Memorials can be made to the Marysville Rescue Squad.
