Omaha man arrested in connection to suspicious death

OMAHA, Neb. -- Authorities said they have arrested an Omaha man in relation to a suspicious death that happened in February.

The Omaha Police Department said they have arrested 24-year-old Miguelangel Bringshimback in relation to the death investigation of Milagros Lopes. 

OPD said Bringshimback was booked for leaving the scene of an accident resulting in death. 

OPD's Homicide and Traffic Units continue to diligently investigate a suspicious death that happened the morning of Thursday, Feb. 16.

Officers responded to the area of 2400 S. 23rd St. just after 3 a.m. to assist the Omaha Fire Department with a female who was found down in the alleyway and with CPR in progress, according to OPD. 

Authorities said the victim was identified as 23-year-old Milagros Lopez was taken to a local hospital where she later died. 

OPD said based on the investigation, their department was looking for a dark colored newer model car, possibly a Chrysler 300. Officials said that vehicle was reportedly seen leaving the area around the time of the incident.
