NEBRASKA CITY – The National Weather Service is organizing severe weather spotter training at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, March 15 at the Nebraska City Fire Museum, 1320 Central Ave.

The National Weather Service says pandemic quarantines limited training sessions in recent years, so there is a growing need for storm spotters.

Nebraska’s peak months for tornadoes are April through June, but  tornadoes can occur in any month.

Training covers topics of hail, supercell thunderstorms, and inflow and outflow from storms.
