Betty Darlene Knapp

Betty Darlene (Mines) Knapp, 90 of Cook, passed away on Friday, February 17, 2023, at her home in Cook. She was born on August 3, 1932, at McCook, NE, the only child of Ernest Henry & Wilhelmina “Minnie” (Aust) Mines Jr.
Betty was united in marriage to Bobbie Dean Knapp on October 5, 1951, in Syracuse. Betty loved being with her family and made being a mom her full-time job. She was involved with the Betty Boop Club, Betty’s Club and Grace Lutheran Church in Cook. Betty loved deals and attended many garage sales and auctions, which added to her Betty Boop and vinegar cruets collections. She also enjoyed fishing, camping, and gardening.
Surviving are her four children John (Diann) Knapp of Omaha, Cindy Neemann of Cook, Jinnohn (Doug) Ninneman of Denton and Bruce (Joy) Knapp of Omaha. Her nine grandchildren Tiona (Tony) Dush, Jillian (Brad) Witte, Shane (Candy) Neemann, Kammy (Jason) Meyer, Bobbie (Mark) Rappl, Bryce (Corina) Ninneman, Brandon (Jess) Knapp, Cody (Tia) Knapp and Eleni (Karalina) Knapp and 22 great grandchildren Zane, Jaiden, Toran, Knox and Bode Dush, Madeline Witte, DDS, Elias Witte, Hannah and Max Neemann, Aiden, Dane, Isaac, Reid and Holton Meyer, Addalyn, Owen, Ella, Sophia, Olivia, Claire and Cecilia Rappl and Alder Knapp. Also survived by her brother-in-law David Chase, nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, stepmother Edna (Scroggins) (Hall) Mines, stepbrother Jack Hall, stepsister Shirley (Hall) Martinez and sisters-in-law Evelyn (Junior) Huffer and Lois “Mitzi” Chase also many nieces, nephews and many dear friends.
A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, February 23 from 11 a.m. until noon with a remembrance service starting at noon all at the Fusselman-Allen-Harvey Funeral Home in Syracuse.
Memorials are suggested to the family for later designation.
