FALLS CITY – Felony charges filed recently in Richardson County court allege drug offenses, conspiracy and sales tax evasion.

Ashley Pohlman, 37, of Falls City is suspected of possession of methamphetamine and Dextroamphetamine.

Court records say chunks of meth were sitting on a digital scale when Richardson County sheriff’s deputies served a search warrant on Jan. 18.

Zachary Bokelman, 30, of Falls City is suspected of arranging to deliver methamphetamine on Dec. 29.

The affidavit has been sealed by the court. Bokelman is also suspected of tampering with physical evidence.

Jennifer Lewis, 47, of Falls City is charged with possession and tampering. Sheriff Rick Hardesty told the court he went to the Eastview Apartments to talk with Lewis and saw a glass pipe and methamphetamine next to her on a table.

Lewis denies possession on Jan. 12.

Jarod Scroggins, 50, of Forest City, Mo., is suspected of possession and driving under suspension on Jan. 31.

An affidavit says Scroggins was arrested after a Fulton Street stop. A sheriff’s deputy says meth residue was found in a glass pipe.

Emily Sisco of the Pawnee County Attorney’s Office has been named special prosecutor in the Richardson County sales tax case against Marc Merz, 57, of Falls City.

Merz is charged with failing to pay sales tax on the sale of a 2017 Ford F150.

A March 8 court hearing is scheduled.
