BEEMER, Neb. -- A Norfolk man was arrested in northeast Nebraska after drugs were found in his vehicle.

The Beemer Police Department said a car with expired plates was seen in Beemer around 9:30 p.m. on Jan. 29. 

Officers said the driver of the vehicle was 27-year-old Daniel Cargill, of Norfolk. Officers reportedly found a large amount of narcotics inside the vehicle. There were also reportedly items for packaging and weighing narcotics along with evidence of regular financial transactions made.

According to authorities, Cargill was arrested and taken to the Thurston County Jail with bond pending. He was charged for felony possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver, possession of marijuana one ounce, possession of drug paraphernalia, and no valid registration.
