Richardson County arrests: car theft suspect

FALLS CITY – The Richardson County Sheriff’s Office reports arrests through Jan. 29, including the latest arrest of a 2021 car theft suspect.
Brian Valdez, 48, of Leavenworth, Kan., was arrested Jan. 19 on a warrant after he failed to appear in court.
Court records say Valdez did not appear for court hearings in May, September, October and December of 2021, in January, July and November of 2022, and in January of 2023.
Valdez is accused of stealing a Chrysler Crossfire from a Falls City parking lot and crashing it into a barricade wall and two vehicles on Towle Street.
Court records say Valdez ran on foot from the scene, but was captured by the Crossfire owner.
Danelle Lee Westling, 46, of Nemaha was arrested for failure to appear on a charge of resisting arrest in February.
Court records say she failed to appear in court in February and May of 2022, but was jailed in October. She failed to appear in court after her release and a warrant was issued Oct. 27.
She is serving a probation sentence for driving under suspension.
Mark E. McPherson, 53, of Falls City, NE was arrested on a Gage County warrant for failure to appear on a felony possession charge. Court records say he failed to appear in November of 2022.
A 25-year-old Falls City woman was sentenced to 30 days in jail for beating a man with a branch and a 59-year-old Humboldt man was sentenced to 10 days for driving under the influence.
Also arrested was a 26-year-old Humboldt woman suspected of criminal impersonation in November to take less than $500.
A 37-year-old Falls City woman was arrested Jan. 18 for suspicion of possession of illegal drugs.
A 28-year-old Salem man was arrested for DUI on Jan. 28.
