TECUMSEH - The Nemaha Natural Resources District Board of Directors met on Thursday, January 12th, 2023.

 Returning directors Russel Moss (D2), Doug Iske (D3), Kevin Thorne (D5), Duane Sugden (D6), Dan Stukenholtz (D7), Bill Niedfeldt (D8), and Alan Romine (D9) in addition to new directors Jake Armknecht (At-Large) and Matthew Bloss (D10) were sworn into office. Returning director Time Loseke (D1) was absent from the meeting and will be sworn in during the February Board Meeting.

 Randy Fox was elected to serve as the Nemaha Basin Representative on the Nebraska Natural Resources Commission.

 Current officers Doug Iske (chair), Russel Moss (vice-chair), and Tim Loseke (treasurer) were re-elected to their positions.

 All well permit applications brought forward to the board were approved. Irrigation wells were approved for D. Teselle (Lancaster), B. Anthony (Otoe & Nemaha), E&M Farms, Inc. (Nemaha), A. Nyland (Gage), N. & T. Buhr (Gage), L. Saathoff (Johnson). CCS Rentals, LLC was approved for a wetland flooding well in Otoe County. E Energy Adams, LLC was approved for an industrial well in Gage County.

 Discussion took place regarding potential updates to the Urban Special Projects policy, potential NNRD Stewardship Award, and Integrated Outreach. No action was taken.
