NEBRASKA CITY – The Nebraska City City Council tabled an engineering agreement for the North 19th Street sports complex at its meeting Tuesday.
JEO Consulting estimates engineering costs of $78,500 for phase one of the complex, which is estimated to cost $1.6 million.
The engineer’s cost estimates include $562,000 for earthwork, $200,000 for storm sewer, $162,000 for irrigation to two, natural grass soccer fields, $108,000 to strip topsoil and $75,000 for an irrigation well with electrical.
City Clerk Randy Dunster said the issue was tabled after Mayor Bryan Bequette noted that the city had not yet approved the final plan for phase one. The issue is expected to be on the agenda at the council’s next meeting.
