Overnight scanner: Weeping Water house fire, Interstate 29 caravans

Emergency crews responded to a house fire this morning at Weeping Water and hazards halt Atchison County, Mo., traffic.

 NEBRASKA CITY – Overnight scanner traffic includes a house fire at Weeping Water and multiple slide offs in Atchison County, Mo.

Weeping Water, Murdock, Avoca and Louisville fire departments were called to a fully engulfed house fire on McKelvie Road near Weeping Water. The original call around 4:45 a.m.

After sunset Wednesday, Atchison County, Missouri, reported icy conditions and high winds. A tow ban was issued for Interstate 29, but officers began motorist assists. A young driver reported a near accident and said she didn’t know here location but her car was stuck.

There was truck and semi-trailer overturned in the highway median and a SUV on its top in a field.

Snow plows worked through the night. At one point, a plow driver reported winds blowing snow in one direction and a minute later blowing in another direction.
