OMAHA, Neb. -- An 18-year-old has been arrested in connection to a homicide that happened in November. 

The Omaha Police Department said that 18-year-old Kevin Thornton has been arrested for the homicide of 19-year-old Sincere Brooks

Thornton has been charged with first-degree murder, use of a gun to commit a felony, and attempted robbery. 

The Omaha Police Homicide Unit investigated a homicide that happened in the area of 2700 N 48th St.

Omaha Police Department said officers responded to a shooting that happened just after 3 p.m. Nov. 16.

It was reported by OPD that at the location they found a male, 19-year-old Sincere Brooks suffering from what looked to be a gunshot wound.

OPD said Omaha Fire Department medics declared the male dead at the scene.
