LINCOLN, Neb. -- Three more Husker football players have entered the transfer portal, as of late Thursday night.

Among the latest eyeing a departure from the program are Decoldest Crawford, Brant Banks and Ernest Hausmann. All three confirmed their entry into the transfer portal via social media.

A native of Louisiana, Crawford joined the Huskers as a wide receiver after being recruited by Mickey Joseph. While his status with new head coach Matt Rhule remains up in the air after previously serving as wide receivers coach and interim head coach, Joseph has been placed on administrative leave following an arrest for assault and strangulation.

Hausmann is a Columbus native who became a starter at linebacker midway through his freshman season. He finished sixth on the team in tackles this season.

Banks was a redshirt sophomore in his fourth season on the roster this past season. He played as a reserve offensive lineman and appeared in every game on special teams this past fall. He was initially recruited to Lincoln by Scott Frost. He has also made an appearance with the Nebraska basketball team after injuries left the team shorthanded heading into the 2020 Big Ten Tournament.

The news came hours after Lincoln East's Malachi Coleman announced that he was re-opening his recruitment. It also follows the announced departure of Trey Palmer, who has announced his intention to enter the NFL Draft.
