Car chase ends in Otoe County corn field
Investigators say phone app places Plattsmouth man where car was abandoned

SYRACUSE – A Plattsmouth man is charged with operating a motor vehicle to avoid arrest in Otoe County on Nov. 25.
Nolan Cherek, 20, is charged with a pursuit that ended in a corn field near County Road 28 south of Highway 2.
An arrest affidavit says Cherek and a passenger in the vehicle fled on foot. The passenger, identified in court records as Damon Honeysuckle, was apprehended at the scene.
Investigators say a phone app places Cherek's phone a the location where the car was abandoned. Cherek was arrested later at Love’s Travel Center at Syracuse.
