OMAHA, Neb. -- A Bellevue teen died in a personal injury crash on an on-ramp in Omaha Tuesday night.
The Omaha Police Department said that around 11:30 p.m. they were called to the accident on the on-ramp of I, L, Q to Interstate 80 East (Ramp A on the picture).
Officials said an investigation showed a Pontiac GTO was traveling east on the ramp at a high speed when the driver, 16-year-old Mauricio Solorio-Ramirez, lost control and left the roadway.
The Pontiac went down the steep embankment, rolling several times, according to OPD.
Authorities reported that Solorio-Ramirez was unrestrained and pronounced dead at the scene by Omaha Fire Department medics.
The ramp was closed until 2:15 a.m.
The crash remains under investigation.
