Autumn's first snow close to 30-year average
Nebraska City Airport reports light snow Nov. 14

NEBRASKA CITY - The Nebraska City Airport reports light snow beginning at 6:35 p.m. Monday and continuing past 8 p.m., when airport visibility was less than 1.5 miles.
The temperature fell below freezing at 5:55 p.m. and was down to 29 degrees at 8 p.m.
A low of 24 degrees was forecast and snow was expected to taper off overnight with about an inch accumulation.
The average first measurable snow in Lincoln is Nov. 18 based on the past 30 years.
The first snowfall last year was Dec. 10, but prior years were Oct. 25, Oct. 28 and Oct. 14. In 2006, the first snowfall was not recorded until Dec. 31.
