Plea entered in meth case

NEBRASKA CITY – Kenneth Pinzino, 34, of Nebraska City entered a no contest plea Monday to possession of methamphetamine on Jan. 3.
Pinzino was arrested following a search of a First Corso residence, where police say they found a bag containing 28 grams of methamphetamine.
Otoe County Attorney Jennifer Panko-Rahe said Pinzino agrees to testify in cases where he is subpoenaed.
Lara Ureste, 36, formerly of Nebraska City has filed a motion to suppress the search of the residence claiming police did not have probable cause for the search and that a warrant was issued based on false information. Her motion says police obtained the warrant to search for stolen items and should have obtained a separate warrant to search for illegal drugs.
Court records say police obtained the search warrant during an investigation into a stolen pickup. Pinzino and Ureste were not charged with theft.
The court is scheduled to take up Ureste's motion on Jan. 3.
Pinzino is scheduled for sentencing on Jan. 30.
