OMAHA, Neb. -- Authorities in the metro area are investigating a shooting that left one injured on Friday. 

The Omaha Police Department said they are investigating a shooting that happened on Friday in the 3000 block of N 60th St. around 12:25 p.m.

OPD said they were called to the address where they found a 60-year-old man suffering from gunshot wounds. 

The man reportedly told officers that he had gone to an apartment and was attacked by three unknown males. 

Police said the man told them he ran away, and was shot by one of the suspects. 

OPD said the man was taken to UNMC as a code 3. 

This is an ongoing investigation.
