No one was injured in a Monday afternoon kitchen fire in Omaha.
OMAHA, Neb. - No one was injured in a Monday afternoon kitchen fire in Omaha.
According to the Omaha Fire Department, firefighters knocked down the fire shortly before 5:00 p.m.
The fire was first located on a kitchen counter before being quickly extinguished.
The residents of the home were not present at the time of the fire discovery, returning home as firefighters were already on scene.
OFD said the fire caused approximately $25,000 worth of damage. Of that, officials said the structure suffered $20,000 in damage with an additional $5,000 in damage done to the contents of the home.
The fire was accidental in nature, officials said.
